Public telephone box of Pedraza

Not long ago there was no another way of communicating when one was not at home, or there was no even another form position that did not have fixed phone at home. In Pedraza there was a point of telephone access for many years (also known like switchboard) where at present the Tourist information office is, in the Real Street: Phones. Ino, neighbor of the people, was receiving the calls and was enabling the cabin so that you could realize them. Sometimes it was calling neighbors so that they were warning other neighbors and were saying to them that they had called them or that they would call them again in equis time … En Pedraza hubo un punto de acceso telefónico durante muchos años (también conocido como centralita) donde actualmente se encuentra la Oficina de Turismo, en la Calle Real: Teléfonos. Ino, vecina del pueblo, recibía las llamadas y habilitaba la cabina para que pudieras realizarlas. En ocasiones llamaba a vecinos para que avisaran a otros vecinos y les dijeran que les habían llamado o que les llamarían de nuevo en equis tiempo…
These images are of the current public cabin, placed in the Main road, very close to the Biggest Square, for many invisibly since it is completely integrated by the wall not to distort the beauty of the environment.
